He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Crain and Marvel Crain (Melton); his grandson Jack Crain; and his niece Jennifer Umbarger. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Crain of Hamburg, Iowa; his children, Josh Crain (Kelly) of Chicago, Toby Crain of Hamburg and Sommer Crain of Dallas, Texas; his grandchildren, Marin and Knox Crain of Chicago, Illinois; his siblings, Curt Crain (Judy) and Cathy Crain of Hamburg; and his nieces and nephews, Clint Crain (Sara), Ken Umbarger, Jana Von Seggern (Jon) and Chelsea Cooper. He is also survived by many cousins and dear friends.
Memorials may be directed to the family who will distribute to the Hamburg Wildcat Sport Boosters, in honor of Kerry's lifelong love of high school athletics, and to Waubonsie State Park, a place he frequented on his drives.
