She is survived by: her husband Leon Root; her daughters, Tonya Root (Andrew Mellecker), Heather Hahn and Melissa Simmons (Chad); her grandchildren, Erin Root, Jonathan Simmons (Rebekah), Aiden Zimmerman and Jessica Simmons; and her siblings, Barbara Rehberg (Walt) and Allan Menning (Becky).
