She was predeceased by : her parents, Waldo Williams and Violet Williams (Drake); her stepmother Anna (Lawrence); her brother Bruce Williams; and her parents-in-law, Lawrence and Genevieve Gilchrist.

She is survived by : her mother-in-law Anna (Beck); her husband Lawrence B. Gilchrist; her children, Lawrence W. Gilchrist (Louise), Margaret Gilchrist (Derek Heckelsmiller), Julie LaPerre (Scott) and Betsy Koeter; her grandchildren, Josh Kenaley (Jenn), Mary Paddock (Alex), Kate Sopha (Kevin), Ben Gilchrist, Hampton, Alyssa Koeter, Rachel Koeter, Natalie LaPerre and Ian LaPerre; her great grandchildren, Addyson Rose, Delaney Mae and Ewan Alester Paddock; and her sisters-in-law, Barb Williams, Jane LaRocque and Sara McPeak. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Hampton United Methodist Church, Franklin County Historical Society or the Hampton Public Library.
