With solemn reverence, we commemorate Bonnie M. Eggerss (Harlan, Iowa), whose life came to an end on September 18, 2025 at the age of 91, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter F. Messerschmidt and Mabel A. Messerschmidt (Krohn); her parents-in-law, Paul and Helen Eggerss (Burmeister); her husband Ronald Eggerss; her brothers, Marvin, Dale and Allen Messerschmidt; and her siblings-in-law, Paul, Ralph Eggerss, Tom Rihner, Robert Thoms, Nadine Eggerss and Joni Eggerss.
She is survived by: her children, Kimberli Buck (Gerald) of Shelby, Roger Eggerss of Shelby and Pamela Christensen (Brian) of Bridgewater, Iowa; and her sisters-in-law, Dixie Messerschmidt of Marion, Kay Messerschmidt of Cedar Falls, Catherine Thoms of Blair and Joyce Rihner of Shelby. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Heartland Funeral Home (1401 Garfield Ave, Harlan, IA 51537). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church (201 Center St, Shelby, IA 51570).
Memorials may be directed to the Shelby Fire Department in Bonnie's memory.
