He is survived by: his wife Maxine Gaul of Bennington, NE; his children, Danelle Lockwood (William) of Bennington, NE and Robin Hopkins (Adam) of Omaha, NE; his grandchildren, Nyssa Lockwood and Damien Hopkins; his siblings, Shirley Hauck of Omaha, NE, Jean Bieker (Daniel) of Harlan, IA, Ronald Gaul (Paula) of Harlan, IA, Carol Walton (Jeffrey) of Harlan, IA, Joan Gaul of Harlan, IA, Laurie Gilbert (Randy Blohm) of Audubon, IA, Marian Bretey (Clayton) of Harlan, IA, Lisa Coseboom (Brooke) of Palm Desert, CA, Janis Thompson (Timothy) of Omaha, NE and Dave Gaul of Chillicothe, OH; and his sister-in-law Debbie Gaul (Nancy Gaul). He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pauley Jones Funeral Home - Harlan (1304 9th St, Harlan, IA 51537). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
