It is with great sadness that we announce the death of LaVern Renze (Harlan, Iowa), who passed away on April 8, 2024, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of LaVern Renze to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Ellen Renze and Joseph Renze; his wife Kathleen Renze; and his son David Renze. He is survived by : his children, Lloyd Renze (Joy) of Urbandale, IA, Karen Hunter of Omaha, NE and Michael Renze (Josephine) of Columbus, NE. He is also survived by grandchildren; great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (2001 College Pl, Harlan, IA 51537). A rosary was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
