He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Knudsen and Kathrine Knudsen (Mortensen); his son Dan Carl; his wife Helen; his sister Verlee Peters (Harold); and his sister-in-law Pearl Knudsen.
He is survived by: his daughter Beth Lebrecht (Howard) of Jensen Beach, FL; his daughter-in-law Lorie Knudsen of Harlan; his grandchildren, Stefan Knudsen (Lori) of Hallsville, MO, Greg Knudsen (Kerrie) of White Oak, IA, Katrina Lansman (Seth) of Harlan, Kyle Lebrecht (Caitlin) of Burke, VA and Sara Lebrecht of Jensen Beach, FL; and his brother Merlyn Knudsen (Jeanette) of Elk Horn, IA. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; one step-great-granddaughter, many nephews and nieces; other extended family members; and friends.
Memorials may be directed to Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Jacksonville in Lyle's honor.
