He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Martin and Mary Martin (Davis); his wife Ruby A Martin; his siblings, Marion Martin, Minnie Marco, Melvin Martin and Merrill Martin; and his siblings-in-law, Lotus Martin, Ruby N Martin, Deb Martin and Leland "Swede" Marco.

He is survived by: his children, Patricia Mortensen (James) of Kimballton, IA, Susan Jensen (Roger) of Loveland, CO, David Martin (Lois) of Harlan, IA and Daniel Martin (Marilyn) of Harlan, IA; his siblings, Merlyn Martin of Lincoln, NE and Mary Andersen (Donald) of Harlan, IA; and his sister-in-law Katherine Martin of Harlan, IA. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM.
