We announce the death of Monte Broeckelman (Harlan, Iowa), who passed away on June 1, 2026, at the age of 55. Monte will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his father Wayne Broeckelman; his grandparents, Clare, Thelma Lamb, Herman and Catherine Broeckelman; and his father-in-law Bill Reed.
He is survived by: his mother Joan Broeckelman (Lamb) of Esbon, Kansas; his wife Gina Broeckelman of Harlan, Iowa; his children, Derrick Broeckelman (Brittany) of Lawrence, Kansas, Tyler Broeckelman (Kaylor) of Hays, Kansas, Spencer Barry of Phoenix, Arizona, Jaci Broeckelman of Harlan, Iowa and Abby Broeckelman of Harlan, Iowa; his grandchildren, Luna, Lillian and Tatum; his mother-in-law Janet Reed of Lenox, Iowa; and his siblings, Mark Broeckelman (Sandra) of Colorado Springs, Mike Broeckelman (Sharla) of Beloit and Melinda Williams (Wes) of Austin, Texas. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family will direct memorials.
