He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew "Bruce" Whannell and Mildred Whannell (Buck). He is survived by: his wife Mary Kae Whannell of Harlan; and his sister Rhonda (John Mock) of Harlan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; extended family members; and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Heartland Funeral Home (1401 Garfield Ave, Harlan, IA 51537). A masonic service will be held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Heartland Funeral Home - Harlan Chapel (1401 Garfield Ave, Harlan, IA 51537). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Heartland Funeral Home (1401 Garfield Ave, Harlan, IA 51537).
