With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sheila Mikkelsen (Harlan, Iowa), born in Defiance, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 13, 2026 at the age of 73. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert "Bob" Weis and Ruth Weis (Schaben); her daughter Melissa; her brothers, Tom and Tony Weis; her nephews, Geoff Falkena and Brad Chamberlain; and her great-niece Charley Falkena.
She is survived by: her significant other Ron Buckholdt; her daughter Jeannie Dirck (Rory) of Loveland, Colorado; her grandsons, Jesse Clymer (Cheleste), Jeremiah Clymer (Layne), Joshua Prevost, Jordyn and Keenan Muheim; her great grandchildren, Cade and Cody; her siblings, Bob Weis Jr. (Donna), Joan Chamberlain (Jerry), Nancy Falkena (Mark), Jude Fox (Darcy), Ronda Jansen (Ted), Lisa Sullivan (Bart) and Russ Weis (Jessica); her pet Trixie; and her nieces and nephews, Jamie Buckholdt (Allison), Bryan Buckholdt (Sarah) and Cathy Drury (John). She is also survived by extended family, dear friends.
