He was predeceased by : his parents, Fred Gottlieb and Pearl McAdams Ahrens; his wife Marjorie Ann Weber; and his brother David Ahrens. He is survived by : his children, Dan Ahrens (Jill Armstrong) of Iowa City, Lyle Ahrens of Harper, Rhonda Aller (Jon) of Iowa City and Randy Ahrens (Kami) of North Liberty; his grandson Andrew Ahrens (Allye); his children, Lindy Ahrens, Aliou Keita (Tiffany), Caleb Ahrens (Amber), Bennie Ahrens (Retha), Ryan Aller (Jennifer), Alex Aller, Ashley Ahrens and Hailey Ahrens; his great grandchild Ella Deters; his grandchildren, Kenley Keita and Kayden Keita; and his sister Lois Simpson of College Station, Texas..
