He is survived by: his sons, Brian Luinstra (Tina) of Ashton, IA and Greg Luinstra (Karen) of Harris, IA; his adoptive daughter Vicki Price (Jackson) of Salina, KS; his grandchildren, Alysa Brehe (Daniel), Payton Luinstra (Felicity), Logan Luinstra, Christofer Luinstra (Katie), Katlynn Espey (Zach), Jonathan Luinstra, Brooke Luinstra (Daniel Durst), Mikel Luinstra (Claire Vreeman), Kimberly Luinstra, Madison Price, Jackson Price, Isabella Price, Abigal Price and Braxton Price; and his great grandchildren, Aiden Brehe, Alaina Wilkins, Braxton Luinstra, Lola Luinstra, Oakley Luinstra, Memphis Luinstra, Parker Luinstra, Dakota Espey, Deacon Espey, Carsen Luinstra and Westley Durst. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hartley Funeral Home (830 2nd St NE, Hartley, IA 51346). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (6665 Frederick Ave, May City, IA 51354). A burial was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:45 AM at the Harrison Township Cemetery.
