With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Duane Roum of Haverhill, Iowa, born in Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away on October 23, 2022 at the age of 61. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Roum and Beverly Roum; his brother Albert Howard; his mother-in-law Garnet Boisvert; and his brother-in-law Roy Boisvert.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Roum (Boisvert); his children, Joshua Roum (Christina), Benjamin Gonzalez (Megan), Elizabeth Gallegos (Adrian), Sarah Gribbins (Andrew), Anthony Baldazo (Lacy) and Kathryn Roum (Brian); his grandchildren, Tyler, Bryce, Christopher, Jaxson, Ben, Jon, Makayla, Ruben, Mya, Thalia, Aberham, Mila, Cecelea, Carson, Mia, Jacoby, Thomas and Elizabeth; and his siblings, Michael, Connie Roum and Linda Roum.
As a community steward, he donated countless hours of his time as an EMT-First Responder for 20 plus years. He was a valued team member on C.E.R.T. (Community Emergency Response Team), and an American Heart Association CPR and First Aid Instructor.
