He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Dekkers and Rose Dekkers (Kooima); his wife Arlene De Jong of Ireton; his daughters, Gaylene and Janelle; his grandchildren, Edyn, Madeira, Troy and Joel; his friend Ken Vander Plas; and his brothers, Warren (Ruth) and Marvin (Jane). He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors.
