She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Ripley and Bertha Ripley (Mueller); her husband Jerry; her siblings, Dale Ripley and Sharon Ripley Donnelly; her stepsiblings, Delmar Ripley and Theola Thomas; her parents-in-law, Fran and Rex Smith; her brother-in-law Murray Smith; and her son-in-law David Lauters.
She is survived by: her child Michele (Tim VanWyhe) of LeMars, IA; her grandchildren, Jon Lauters (Ilsa) of Iowa City, IA and Lindsey (Eric Tonsfeldt) of Apple Valley, MN; her great grandchildren, Aaron and Alena; her grandson Kevin (Laree) of Hawarden, IA; her daughters, Sophie of Grand Rapids, MI, Olivia of Hawarden, IA, Karla (Dan Socarras), Kalista of Lafayette, CO and Danielle of Lafayette, CO; and her siblings-in-law, Diane Cramer, Joan Smith, Denise (Doug Van't Hof), Rod Smith (Marie) and Gene Smith (Ann). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
