In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Gerald leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Gerald may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Jans and Darlene Jans; and his brother Kevin Jans. He is survived by: his wife Donna Jans (Houtsma); his children, Cody Jans (Neena Hayreh) and Caitlin Jans; and his grandchildren, Rowan Hoogland and Ryker Hoogland.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Oak Grove Park (4051 Cherry Ave, Hawarden, IA 51023).
