He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Ellis and Bertha Jones; his wife Lula Mae; his son Dr. David Ellis; and his siblings, Marie, Mildred, Lula, Hazel, Loretta, Frances, Charles, Max, Harold, Dayle, Don and Dean.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lynda Otten (Roger), Pam Banta (Don) and Laura Sailer (Jim); his grandchildren, Brian Tillman, Charles Banta (Teri Kelly), Christine Hornbuckle (Cole), Nicole Hoogland, Jeffrey Sailer (Megan), Bethany Washington (Derek), Sara Meyer (Zach) and Aaron Ellis (Autumn); his great grandchildren, Madeline Hoogland, Jacob Hoogland, Caragan Hornbuckle, Calvin Hornbuckle, Roman Washington, Declan Washington, Theo Meyer, Elsie Meyer and Sylvie Sailer; his former wife Sharon Losey; and also Brenda Ellis.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Goslar Funeral Home Chapel (1629 10th St, Onawa, IA 51040). A masonic service will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
