He was predeceased by : his parents, Clarence Allers and Orpha Allers (Allen); his sister Debby Haddy; his niece Cathy Haddy; his nephew Darin Hageman; his parents-in-law, Art and Ellen Wiest; and his brother-in-law Lance Sbiral.

He is survived by : his wife Jo Allers; his sister Peggy Barron of Belle Plaine; and his siblings-in-law, Jan Sbiral of Spillville, Joyce Hageman (Roger) of Ossian, Judy Weaver (Doug) of Birmingham, Gary Haddy of Cedar Rapids, Wayne Wiest (Corinne) of Calmar and Ron Wiest (Mary) of St. Paul, Minnesota..
