With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Ekstrand of Hiawatha, Iowa, who passed away on August 1, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, G. B. "Bob" Heitland and Velma Heitland (Smith); her husband Dick; and her sons, Allan and Burr Ekstrand.

She is survived by : her daughter Janet Herrington (Clancy); her sister Carol Maxwell of Sun City, AZ; her grandchildren, BJ Ekstrand of Hazelton, IA, Eric Ekstrand of Oelwein, IA, Spencer Walrath (EmilyAnn) of Chicago, IL and Erin Ekstrand of Oelwein, IA; and her great grandchildren, Tristan Ekstrand and Joseph Walrath.
