She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbie Schweinefus and Hazel Schweinefus; her husband Curtis Brown; her son Allen Brown; her brother Connelly Schweinefus; her brother-in-law Dwight Sorensen; and her grandchildren, Rusty Brown and Kimberly Brown.
She is survived by: her daughter Kathy Brown of Fairfax, Iowa; her grandchildren, Hunter, Haley and Ruger; her daughter-in-law Julie Brown of Cedar Rapids; her grandchildren, Stephanie, Sydney, Savannah, Allen and Becca; her siblings, Nancy Scheidel (Mark) of Ossian, Janice Sorensen of Cedar Rapids and Duwayne Schweinefus (Georgie) of Ossian; and her sisters-in-law, Joyce Langreck of Decorah and Joanne Schweinefus of Indianola. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home (4200 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
