She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Weathers and Pauline Weathers (Weis); her husband Walt; her grandsons, Brian Moret, Alan Moret and Trent Kay; her brother John Weathers; her parents-in-law, Carl and Paula Kay; and her siblings-in-law, Minnie, Jess Williams, Edna, Ray Nelson, Irene, Paul Ford, Herb, Joyce Kay, Evelyn, Willard Carlson and Donna Kay.
She is survived by: her children, Jim Kay (Donna), Randy Kay (Betty), Steve Kay (Sue), Deb Gilmore (Rich), Terri Brown (David), Pam Kay (Keith), Joni Blenner (Rob) and Lonny Kay (Jeannette); her grandchildren, Julie, Jennifer, Josette, Marcie, Cory, Scott, Kristina, Ashlynn, Kaylee, Dylan and Austin; her sister Alverta Gries (Vern); and her siblings-in-law, Karen Weathers and Alvin "Bud" Kay. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was very strong and resilient, surviving many childhood illnesses ranging from measles to mumps to scarlet fever, and also covid in the year 2023.
