It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard L. Petersen of Holstein, Iowa, who passed away on November 12, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Peter Petersen (Sievert); his brother Robert Sievert (Fonda); and his brother-in-law Chuck Palmer. He is survived by: his wife Karen Petersen of Holstein, IA; his sons, Jason Petersen (Melonie) of Ida Grove, IA and Jared Petersen of Ida Grove, IA; his grandchildren, Austin Petersen (Zoey Beery), Alex Petersen, Parker Petersen, Blake Petersen, Kylie Petersen, Preston Gill, Gill of Kansas and Triston Petersen; and his sister Vida Palmer of Ida Grove, IA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family.
