She was predeceased by: her parents, H. C. Bertelsen and Irene Bertelsen (Axtell); her husband Willie; her children, Robert W. Witt, Becky J. Ring and Beverly K.; her son-in-law LeRoy Dollen; her grandson Jay W. Dollen; her siblings, Elsie Watson (Homer), Betty Gunderson (Keith), Don Bertelsen (Loretta) and Calvin Bertelsen (Wilma); and her in-laws, Leonard Witt (Lorraine), Dorothy Wohlers (Shorty) and Alvin Witt.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Heikes (Tim) of Dakota City, NE, Bonnie Ausdemore (Marion) of Neola, IA and Brian Witt (Dawn) of Honey Creek, IA.; her children-in-law, Bonnie Sorensen of Honey Creek, IA and Tom Ring of Neola, IA; and her sister-in-law Shirley Witt of Council Bluffs, IA. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home (1221 N 16th St, Council Bluffs, IA 51501). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (30907 Coldwater Ave, Honey Creek, IA 51542).
Memorials will be directed by the family.
