He is survived by: his children, Nathan Monroe (Heather) of Hubbard, Nicholas Monroe (Kacie) of Marshalltown, Melisa Anderson (Drew) of Marshalltown, Taylor Monroe of Ames and Lily Monroe of Ames; his grandchildren, Hayden, Breccan, Aerilyn, Hallie, Harrison, Andrew and Daniel; and his siblings, Terry Monroe (Lee Jackson) of Eldora, Debra Tamminga of Unionville, MO and Cindy Monroe of Eldora.
