Nelvina left this world on May 3, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Elbers and Verna Elbers (Vander Haar); her husband Charles W. "Chuck" Kroese; her son-in-law Jeff Folkerts; her brother Wilmer Elbers; and her sisters-in-law, Iva Elbers and Verna (Leroy Moret).
She is survived by: her children, Wanda Folkerts of Sioux Falls, Brian Kroese (Pauline) of Hull, William Kroese (Karla) of Lakewood, California, Joel Kroese (Sandy) of Dallas, Georgia and Connie (Joel Heitritter) of Hull; her siblings, Edwin Elbers and Ruth (Vern Verbrugge); and her sisters-in-law, Hester Hogan, Joan (Junior Heitmeyer) and Betty Babbot (Elbers). She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren.
Memorials will be given to the First Christian Reformed Church Building Fund.
