With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ruth E. Zylstra of Hull, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Ruth left this world on February 18, 2026 at the age of 80, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Batavia and Harriet Van Batavia (Kooiker); and her brothers-in-law, Bill Van Der Brink and Rardon Bevill. She is survived by: her husband Stan of Hull; her children, Rachel (David Hanson) and Carl (Nikki Zylstra); her grandchildren, Brooke (Andrew De Noble) of Hull, Bryan Zylstra (Macy) of Hull and Brent Zylstra of Hull; her sister Eldora Van Der Brink of Sioux Center; and her siblings-in-law, Connie Bevill of Fort Collins, Colorado and Henry (Katy Zylstra) of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Because of this, the family requests that memorials be given to the First Reformed Church for technology and media updates.
