He is survived by: his wife Betty of Hull; his sons, Waylon (Melissa Pollema) of Hull and Brandon (Ashley Pollema) of Le Mars; his grandchildren, Carter Pollema (Jodi), Samantha Poppema (Charlie), Chandler Pollema, Brandolyn Langel (Cody), Tanner Pollema (Kendra), Briley Pollema (Molly), Taeya Pollema, Brie Pollema, Dierks Hieber, Wyatt Hieber, Camden Pollema, Brody Pollema and Brooks Pollema; his great grandchildren, Marlee Pollema, Mattias Pollema, Beckett Bosma and Baylor Pollema; his brothers, Vernon Pollema (Betty) of Bakersfield, California, Dale Pollema (Mary) of Rock Valley and Wes Pollema (Rhonda) of Rock Valley; and his siblings-in-law, Carol Pollema of Sioux Falls, Jane Aning (Bruce) of Rock Rapids, Joyce Maassen (Ron) of Boyden, Judy Dokter (Larry) of Orange City, Gloria Tuenissen (Gary) of Rock Valley, Darlene Maassen (Daryl) of Doon, Lois Salazar (Ted) of Hull, Gladys Van Den Top of Rock Valley and Daryl Van Den (Deb). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials will be given to the Hull Christian School and Western Christian High School in Hull.
