He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Schultz, and Frances Schultz, Sr. (Kitzmann); and his siblings, Marilyn Piepenbrink, Leone Dunkelberg, Gertrude Roorda and Arthur Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Darlene M. Nelson of Fort Dodge; his daughters, Kimberly Schipull (Bruce) of Hardy and Lori Spitz (William) of Osage; his stepdaughters, Dawn Norris (Michael) of Oshkosh and DeeAnne Marlow (Rodney) of Okoboji; his grandchildren, Tim Schipull, Amanda Paul (Andrew), Douglas B. Schipull (Elizabeth), Melissa Rupp (Michael), Sarah Johanns (Derek), Alyson Bechtum (Ted) and Rebecca Peterson (Ryan); and his stepgrandchildren, Steven, Lisa, Katherine and Emily. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (1005 11th Ave N, Humboldt, IA 50548). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
