He was predeceased by: his wife Dianne Hoops; his parents, Jens Andersen and Fern Andersen (Olesen); his brother Ronnie Andersen; his father-in-law Bill Hoops; his sister-in-law Pat Andersen; his grandparents, Sam, Christina Olesen, Anton and Patrina Andersen; his niece Shana Andersen; his nephew Kirk Andersen; and his great-niece Hope Andersen.
He is survived by: his children, Deb Place (Dave) of Renwick, Darcy Hickethier (Craig) of Iowa Falls and David Andersen (Sheri) of Rockwell City; his grandchildren, Jacob, Jessica Place, Cody, Zach Hickethier, Courtney and Torie Andersen; his great grandchildren, Kyra and Kohen Place; his brothers, Joe Andersen, Jim Andersen (Janis) and Andy Andersen (Peggy); his mother-in-law Vernice Hoops-Wagner; his nephew Todd Andersen (Melanie); and his nieces, Kelli Andersen, Megan Andersen and Carissa Hansen (Mike).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Unity Point Hospice in Fort Dodge.
