She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Hoops and Francis Hoops (Hart); and her sons, Dave and Steven Petersen. She is survived by: her children, Cathy Mickelson (Geoff), Bill Petersen (Sheri), Terry Petersen, Lyn Forgey (Dan) and Stuart Petersen; and her brother Richard Hoops. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
