We are sad to announce that on April 24, 2024, Phyllis Florence Vik of Humboldt, Iowa, born in Fort Dodge, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Phillip Nelson and Florence Nelson (Swanson); her former life partner William Robert Smith; and her siblings, Dorothy Nelson, Selma Ehrhardt (Nelson), Clifford Nelson, Frank Nelson and Virgil Nelson.
She is survived by : her husband Carroll Vik of Humboldt; her children, David Smith (Glenda) of Custer, Gary Smith of Truth, Kristen Smith Peltz of Barnard and Greg Vik (Cindy) of Humboldt, Iowa; her brother Erland Nelson (Phyllis) of Humboldt; and her sister-in-law Barbara Nelson of Dakota City. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church. A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
