We announce the death of Richard H. Jennings of Humboldt, Iowa, who passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 73. Richard will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Richard will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Richard will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Richard’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Jennings and Jean Jennings (Waterbury); his daughter Dani Jennings; his great grandchild Aubree McMillin; and his brother Greg.
He is survived by: his wife Sherry Larson of Humboldt; his children, Tawnya Kirkdorffer (Nathan) of South Carolina, Cory Larson (Debbie "Kat") of Rutland and Penny McMillin (David) of Webster City; and his brother Douglas Jennings of Fort Dodge. He is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren and thirty-six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service (612 2nd Ave S, Humboldt, IA 50548). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Our Saviour's Lutheran Church (1212 Sumner Ave SW, Humboldt, IA 50548).
