We announce the death of Monte Douglas Lantz (Huxley, Iowa), who passed away on August 15, 2026, at the age of 85. Monte will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Lantz and Odellia Lantz (Newgaard); his former wife Evelyn (Vespestad); and his brothers, Gary, Alan and Nero.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa Weeks (Jim), Tracy Lantz, Tamara Manfull (Bryan) and Melbourne; his stepsons, Randy Wright (Michele) and Brent Wright (Wendy); his wife Gloria Wright; and his daughters, Terri and Tami. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and many extended family.
In lieu of flowers, any donations can be made to Wounded Warrior, Fjeldberg Lutheran Church, Trinity United Methodist Church, or the ARL.
