He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William A. McCarthy and Richard D. Ball (Msgr).

A rosary will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at 6:45 PM at the same location. A vigil service will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Ida Grove, Iowa (213 5th St, Odebolt, IA 51458). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery (213 5th St, Odebolt, IA 51458).
