He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Nebel and Kathryn Nebel (Langan); his siblings, Helen Vana, Mary Batenhorst, Veronica Figenbutz, Dorothy Klein, Teresa Heithoff and Jerald Nebel; and his great grandchild Jax Nebel.

He is survived by: his children, Jeffry Nebel (Judy), Jacque Bleil (Jay) of Anthon, IA, Joel Nebel (Staci) and Jennifer Terwee (Andrew) of Larchwood, IA; and his siblings, Florence Finken, Jim and Joe Nebel. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
