He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald L. Thompson and Hazel M. Thompson (Smith); his sister Bonnie Thompson; and his grandson Tristen Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Janis Thompson of Independence, IA; his sons, Tracy Thompson (Cathy) of Kingsman, OH, Troy Thompson (Julieta) of Venice, FL and David Thompson (Ana) of Phoenix, AZ; his grandchildren, Brooke, Megan, Tabitha, Jake, Morgan, Abby, Joshua, Joseph and Ashlynn Thompson; and his great grandchildren, Asher, True, Ember, Valor, Alina, Quinn and Karsyn.
