She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon C. Jons and Marion Jons (Lentz); and her brothers, George, Vernon Jr. and Allen Jons.

She is survived by: her husband Gale Lee Mathews of John's Lutheran Church; her children, Kelly Mathews of Waterloo, IA, Karie Catherwood (Rick) of Vinton, IA and Katrina Weber (Caleb) of Jesup, IA; and her grandchildren, Marisa, Faith and Logan.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the White Funeral Home (400 1st St W, Independence, IA 50644).

Memorials may be directed to charity or the family.
