He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Fern Marriott Smith and Clifford Z. Smith; his wife Ruth Proudfoot; and his children, Lachlan Smith (Kathryn) of Punta Gorda, FL, Rebecca Neemann (Bruce) of Syracuse, NE and Scott Smith (Rich Joens) of Winterset, IA.. He was also cherished by his friends and family.
