She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas "Eddie" O'Brien and Lelia A. O'Brien (Beyer); her husband Alfred G. Beatty; and her siblings, Iva Fratzke, Mary Lou "Tootie" Melka, Harvey "Bud" O'Brien and Floyd "Bink" O'Brien.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debra Magasamen (Donald) of Independence, Vickie Jetmund of Independence and Cheryl Birchard (Steve) of Independence; her grandchildren, Lori Rouse, Allen Magasamen, Emily Parks and Matt Birchard; her brothers, Richard O'Brien of Independence and Patrick O'Brien (Karen) of Prescott; and her sister-in-law Nancy O'Brien of North Carolina. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Reiff Family Center - Independence (216 3rd Ave SE, Independence, IA 50644). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
