It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Debora Weis of Independence, Iowa, who passed away on September 19, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Debora Weis to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Maynard and Maxine Maynard (Frye). She is survived by: her husband Dean Weis of Independence; her children, Tonia Cabai (Keith) of Elgin, IL and Travis Weis (Erin) of Center Point, IA; her grandchildren, Parker, Viviella Cabai, Rhett and Caliber Weis; and her siblings, Linda Roeder (Jim) of Silvis, IL and Steve Maynard (Connie) of Independence, IA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and countless friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Reiff Family Center - Independence (216 3rd Ave SE, Independence, IA 50644). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at the Wilson Cemetery.
