He was predeceased by: his parents, George F. Curry and Bernice M. Curry (McAveary); his wife Debbie Curry of John's Catholic Church; and his siblings, Rose Ann Curry, Carol Woolery, Lois Hermsen, Laverne, Bernard and Leonard Curry.
He is survived by: his children, Suzanne Burshan of Palm Harbor, FL and Barry Hoover (Katie) of Independence, IA; his grandchildren, Aliya Young (Mark), Dalton (Camy Weeks) and Blayke Hoover; and his brother Ron Curry of Independence, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Reiff Family Center - Independence (216 3rd Ave SE, Independence, IA 50644). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. John's Catholic Church (209 5th Ave NE, Independence, IA 50644).
