With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donald W. Crawford of Independence, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 13, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wade Elmer Crawford and Louise Emma Holle; his wife LaVerna "Belle" Crawford; his siblings, LaVon Fisher, Norine Crawford, Wylmarie Rasmussen, Donna Manson, Caryel Crawford, Earl Crawford and Robert Crawford; and his son-in-law Steve Walthart.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Walthart of Independence, Susan Doan (Aaron) of Independence, Judy DePaepe (Ed) of Waterloo, IA, Jeff Crawford (Farzaneh) of San Diego, CA and Mark Crawford (Micky) of Independence. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Independence; Camp Courageous of Iowa in Monticello or a local FFA Chapter in the donor's area.
