It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Floyd Engler of Independence, Iowa, who passed away on September 10, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Floyd is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Floyd's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Engler and Caroline Engler (Handke); his brother Duane; his sister-in-law Phyllis Engler; his brother Jordan Lee Engler; and his nephew Steve Engler.

He is survived by: his wife Jane Engler; his daughter Connie Fernandes; his granddaughter Grey Engler; and his sisters, Marian Roeder and Joyce Barker. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

“Floyd was a man with honor and integrity. Got to know Floyd as part of the motorcycle crew. He could lead a group of bikes on our weekly Summer rides like a map maker. Going to the Sturgis rally was always a very good time, following the same weekly schedule as what to do on a day, where to eat , he preferred buffets, and always camping at the same campground. His smile was warm and friendly. He will be missed. Ride high dear friend and rest in peace. Mike Leaven”
