He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Key and Edna M. Key (Weese); and his siblings, Donald, Harry, Vern, Louis, Albert, Harold Key, Rose-Emma Owen Key and Minni Ellen Fremeyer.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Key of Independence, IA; his children, Mitchell Key (Mariann) of Weldon, IA and Kelly Key of Fayette, IA; his grandchildren, Harley, Ethan, LeeAnn, Christian, Jackie, Jennifer, Chris and Jacob; and his brother Marvin Key of Raymond, IA. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
