With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce Stickfort of Independence, Iowa, who passed away on September 23, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Joyce is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Joyce's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert J. Brockling and Fern M. Brockling (Christensen); her husband Roger Stickfort; her son Wade Greiner; and her brother Jim Brockling.
She is survived by: her children, Bruce Greiner (Jeannette) of Carlile, IA, Clark Greiner (Corina) of Nashville, IN, Angie Derr (David) of Independence, IA and Joshua Zimpher (Mandy Williams) of Winthrop, IA; her brothers, Bob Brockling of Independence and Rick Brockling of Kansas City, KS; and her sister-in-law Jean Brockling of Independence. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
