It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Judy Kress of Independence, Iowa, who passed away on January 27, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Max A. Beachler and Wilma R. Beachler (Haines); her stepfather Don G. Brunko; her daughter Nicole L. Carver; and her brother William M. Beachler.

She is survived by: her former husband Duane L. Carver; her husband Alan; her daughters, Jami J. Dunn (Jeremy) of Marion and Jodi K. Brewer (Cory) of Independence; her grandchildren, Jordyn N. Dunn and Jace J. Dunn; and her brother Jim K. Beachler (Jean) of Robins.

Memorials will be directed to the Rowley Presbyterian Church and the Cedar Valley Hospice.

“I had the privilege of working with Judy from 2001-2004 at West Elementary School. I was a brand new principal at the time, and she was part of an outstanding staff that helped me develop as a leader. Judy was always smiling and had a lot of fun. She loved to joke around. Judy was a tremendous positive presence in the students' lives and was great at her job. Hearing the news of her passing brought back many fun memories. I miss her, and I know others will too. You have my sympathy. Jim Murray”
