She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Brimmer and Verna Brimmer (Baker); her husband Donald Simmons; and her siblings, Frank Brimmer and Shirley Gee.
She is survived by: her children, Jeff Simmons (RoseMary) of San Antonio, Greg Simmons (Nina) of Quasqueton, Iowa and Jenny Shonka (Eric) of Omaha, Nebraska; and her grandchildren, Christina Simmons, Elissa Simmons, Alissa Spidell (Jedd), Jacob Lewis (Alissa Latteyer), Logan Shonka and Isabelle Shonka.
Memorials may be directed to the family to be given to some of Lou's favorite causes.
