We announce the death of Starla Himebaugh of Independence, Iowa, who passed away on June 21, 2026, at the age of 81. Starla will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion G. Streif and Viola A. Streif (Honkomp). She is survived by: her husband Irvin Himebaugh; her children, Michelle Bartz (Pat Shannon) of Independence, IA and Jeff Himebaugh of Denver, CO; her grandchildren, Morgan Gerken (Brad), Blake Bartz, Dylan Himebaugh and Jagger Himebaugh; her great grandchild Nash Gerken; and her siblings, Nancy Koenig (Thomas), Ronald Streif (Ann) of Farley, IA, Donna Gibbs (Jim) of Farley, IA and Tom Streif (Sherry) of Independence, IA.
