He was predeceased by : his parents, Paul Copenhaver and Gayle E. Copenhaver (Thom) of People's Memorial Hospital; his sister Laurie Lynn; and his uncles, Phil Copenhaver, George Thom (Jane) and Roger Thom (Joann).
He is survived by : his wife Amy Elizabeth Haverkamp of Independence; his sons, Nate, Drew and Ben Copenhaver; his sisters, Ann Fletcher (Mick) of Iowa City and Sarah Copenhaver of Tonganoxie, KS; his aunt Bev Copenhaver of Independence; his father-in-law Dan Haverkamp (Wanda) of Independence; his siblings-in-law, Sara Perry (Jay) and Peter Haverkamp (Katie); and his nieces and nephews, Josey Jones (Jacob), Maddie Johnson (Chad), Olivia Fletcher, Grace and Jack Perry.
